Project Leadership
This program is designed specifically for Project Managers. These managers are running mission critical projects with teams of people who do not report to them, they have all the responsibility and none of the authority. How do they lead them? Usually quite poorly, as they revert to being task managers and focus more on managing the project and less on leading the team. This program changes all that.
The Project Leadership program helps your Project Managers develop their true form of leadership, Influence. They learn how to build an effective project team that is focused on customer objectives, led by a newly transformed Project Leader!
Your Project Leaders learn how to build relationships with project team members, even the contract ones, in such a way that their influence evokes higher levels of project success. The project team is ready to overcome challenges, meet customer demands, and get the job done! This doesn’t happen with a clipboard project manager, it only happens when you have a Project Leader! This program delivers on that goal.
Team Leadership
This program is different from the Project and Process Leadership programs where the teams do not report formally to the managers. The Team Leadership program helps to develop leaders when the team DOES report to them. PL Coaches help your managers grow past their command and control style to that of a true leader who is operating at the 5th level of leadership – Developing Other Leaders. Imagine a culture where your leaders not only delivered results at a high level, but also developed other future leaders for your firm!
Team Leaders learn how to create and foster high performance teams. Everything rises and falls on leadership and your leaders, so why wouldn’t you want to invest into the most impactful training they will EVER receive. Process Leadership
This program is designed specifically for managers who are running a process. This usually involves a team mixed with direct reports, indirect reports, and contractors. This mixed reporting environment requires a Leader who embraces the principle of leadership is influence.
PL Coaches helps your process managers adopt the Leadership Engine to develop their Influence. Once the training program takes root, the process managers transform into Process Leaders who can take ANY process and process team and deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and sustainable results.

One-on-One Coaching
There are times when someone needs coaching that is focused on their unique needs. In this case One-on-One coaching is the way to go. The program runs in 3 month intervals. You sign up for the first 3 month program, where our coach meets with you in a private Zoom call and the agenda is 100% the clients. There will be 6 meetings (one every two weeks) for 60 minutes each over the 3 month period. At the end of the 3 month interval, the client decides if they want to sign up for another 3 month interval. This approach is especially effective for senior leaders looking for a more customized coaching experience that doesn't involve a group.
Custom Leadership Program
PL Coaches works with you and your stakeholders to create a custom program that will specifically address both your company’s strengths and weaknesses. You retain, change, or throw out what you want or don’t want. Each leadership competency is chosen and modified for your firm.
Leaders are able to positively impact projects, processes, and teams by leveraging influence, by knowing when to lead and when to follow, and by leaving a legacy that inspires others.

Eric Walton, Founder and Coach-Facilitator
Eric Walton - Bio
As President of PL Coaches LLC, Eric Walton has been coaching leaders around the world for over 10 years from diverse industries such as: High Tech, Manufacturing, Banking, and others. These firms have been Fortune 500, $10-$250M midrange, and Startups and Early stage.
Mr. Walton is a founding partner of the John Maxwell Team and a certified leadership coach, trainer and speaker. Mr. Walton has written and developed three different leadership programs for the corporate market: Project Leadership, Process Leadership, and Team Leadership. There have been over 250 graduates of these programs now exhibiting increased leadership for their firms. Mr. Walton has coached voer 1,000 business owners in the networking marketing industry.
Prior to founding PL Coaches, Eric Walton spent more than 30 years as an accomplished leader and executive in the high-tech industry. During that time he was focused on raising up leaders and was directly involved in the advancement of hundreds of managers, directors, and vice-presidents, while training and coaching many more. During his rich leadership experience he held several COO positions, at influential mid-size tech firms, as well as being an executive at Fortune 500 firms. Eric’s leadership and management experience in multiple functional areas has afforded him a broad experience and insight into technology, finance, marketing, sales and operations, and has included management responsibility of more than 2000 people.
It is this experience that has proven invaluable in understanding leadership issues across a multitude of markets, industries and locations, managing teams to solve those problems, and raising up leaders to get it done.
Mr. Walton received a BS in Business Management from University at Albany and a MBA from the University of Arizona.
